The Marketing team is looking for its 4th team member, an Event Marketing Manager. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing to expand our footprint by leading our event marketing efforts. This includes both physical events and tradeshows, as well as our presence at digital events and webinars. This is a newly formed position, and will continue to evolve. You are a self-starter with a positive attitude, who thrives in a fast-paced and energetic environment. You are ready to pave the way, backed by a team that wants to see you succeed!

At the onset of your tenure here, you will:
Sit down for a comprehensive marketing strategy session with marketing leadership.
Meet and shadow current members of the team.
Learn the capabilities of the platform, the business problems we address, review messaging, and get a demo of our platform.
Set your OKRs with your manager and develop an action plan.
Meet marketing stakeholders in departments outside of marketing.
Get acquainted with and start using Jira, our project management platform.
Within three months, you will…
Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to develop and execute an event strategy to maximize ROI. The plan will include both in-person and virtual events.
Work with the marketing, marketing operations, and sales team to leverage our database to promote events and follow up with prospects.
Collaborate with the marketing operations team to ensure all leads are entered into the correct campaigns, and report on event based ROI.
Plan and attend your first in-person event. Ensure everything needed for the event arrives in a timely manner, plan onsite dinner reservations for prospects and customers, set up and tear down the booth, and provide top-notch in person support for our sales team.
Within six months, you will…
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for events.
Work closely with partners on events and sponsorships.
Generate MQLs and drive marketing influenced pipeline.
Continue planning and optimizing events and pre/post-event outreach based on the success of prior events.
Within one year, you will…
Be considered a top performer by consistently planning and executing successful events.
Meet and/or exceed marketing influenced pipeline goals.
Be a valued resource for the sales team, and help the sales team reach their targets with your strong organizational and leadership skills.
You are results-oriented, motivated, and pay attention to the smallest of details. You are a people-person, and enjoy traveling and planning events.. You will play a pivotal role in helping us achieve our goals by planning wildly successful in-person and virtual events that help us grow our pipeline. You love learning new things, collaborating with others, and working on a tight-knit team where your efforts are recognized and rewarded.
2+ years of experience in event marketing with a proven track record of performance.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
A track record of being a team player.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized and proficient at managing multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to travel to events and tradeshows (approximately 8-12 per year)
Bonus if you have:
Experience at a startup
Industry knowledge of mortgage and title, healthcare, financial services/banking, insurance, or higher education.

What is compensation like at Capacity?
Base salary $60,000
We offer fully funded medical premiums for each full-time team member and their dependents.
